The Esko Eskomos used stifling defense and a fast start offensively led the Eskomos to a 55-29 victory and a second consecutive trip to the state girls basketball tournament.

The fast start started immediately as the Eskomos jumped out to a 9-0 lead which was followed by another run to close out the half ahead 27-14.

Esko pushed the ball in the fist half driving to the basket creating free throw opportunities for Esko. Esko continued on with their outstanding defense and timely outside shooting to come away with the 26 point win Saturday night.

The win sends the Eskomos back to the state tournament where they will face Roseau on Wednesday night at Mariucci Arena at 8 pm.
