After clinching the top seed in the SIJHL playoffs, the Wisconsin Wilderness came to Duluth and pushed their earned point streak to 25 games, taking down the Clydesdales 6-2.

The first period played very tight, with Duluth outshooting Wisconsin 11-10 and the teams combining for the goals within 2:19 in the middle of the frame (10:25 Erickson WIS, 10:41 Mershon DUL, 12:44 Kline WIS [PP]) with the Wilderness taking that 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Clydesdale defensive breakdowns led to quick goals by the visitors (Tessin 1:43, Housley 2:19), but the remainder of that time playing even, a couple more goals traded (Nelson for Duluth at 7:04, Erickson for Wisconsin at 11:21) before the period was out with the visitors leading 5-2 on the scoreboard and by a single shot, 19-18.

The third period would see a lone Wisconsin goal (A. Anderson 9:51) to make it a 6-2 final. The two teams match up again Wednesday night from Spooner, WI.
