Barnum Rolls over Rebels

The Barnum Bombers stayed unbeaten as they rolled to a 64 – 37 victory at home Friday night over the MLWR Rebels. The Bombers improved to 21-0

The Bombers stifling defense held the Rebels to just 13 points at halftime while they scored 33. The second half would be much of the same, outscoring the Rebels 31-24 to secure the 64-37 victory of the season. This is the 11th time this season that the Bombers have held their opponent under 40 points.

Brandon Newman once again led the Bombers with 29 points in the victory. Hunter Fetters and Andrew Naslund also hit double digits, scoring 11 and 10 respectively. Also scoring in the victory was Nathan Jelinek with 6, Dacotah Haley pitching in 4, and Chris Carlson tallying 2.

For the Rebels, Charlie Adamczak had a team high with 9, followed by Rex Janke with 8, Hunter Halvorson with 7, Isaac Riihiluoma adding 6, Brad Fossum scoring 3, and Joshua Butterfield and Brady Witkowski rounding it out with 2 a piece.

The state ranked Bombers improve to 21-0 on the season and will look to remain unbeaten when they travel to take on Deer River on February 9th. The Rebels drop to 11-11 on the season and will look to bounce back on the road against Hermantown on February 12th.
