Hounds Fall to Top Ranked Lakeville

Duluth East lost 2-1 to top-ranked and unbeaten Lakeville North in a high school boys hockey game Tuesday night at Ames Arena in Lakeville, Minn. Freshman Garret Worth scored the lone goal  for the Greyhounds (6-8-1).

Senior goaltender Gunnar Howg, a healthy scratch for four straight games, stopped 39 of 41 shots for Duluth East. The Greyhounds who were out shot 41-20 on the night were 0-4 on the power play.

Duluth East will host Apple Valley Thursday night at the Heritage Center in West Duluth. Lakeville North improved to 15-0 on the season and they will face Shakopee Thursday night in Lakeville .
