Jacks Fall to Eden Prairie

Casey Middelstadt’s hat trick Friday night gave the Eagles of Eden Prairie a huge lift as the Eagles came from a 1-0 deficit to knock off the lumberjacks 5-1 at Northwoods Credit Union Arena.

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton took a 1-0 lead as Dylan Johnson scored at 7:02 of the first period to give the Jacks an early lead. Koby Bender assisted on the Johnson goal.

The Eagles then scored four second period goals that pretty much sealed the win for the visitors over the Lumberjacks, as three of the four second period goals came on the power play.

Casey Holshouser stopped 19 shots in the loss for the Lumberjacks, Nick Wiencek stopped 18 for the Eagles.
