Cromwell Boys Comeback To Defeat Two Harbors

The Cromwell Cardinals found themselves trailing the Two Harbors Agates Friday night at halftime by a score of 34-29. Being down by five points on the road was no worries as the Cardinals bounced back in the second half and took down the Agates by a final score of 50-47 in Two Harbors.


The Cardinals would light up the scoreboard from three point land by connecting on nine three-pointers, including four by Pat Dahl, three by Jordan Suhonen, and two by Jared Hutar. While the Cardinals shot well from behind the arc Friday, the Cardinals struggled at the free throw line, making only 5 of their 14 attempts.


Pat Dahl led all scorers Friday night with 16 points. Jordan Suhonen ended with12, Jared Hutar closed with 8, Jake Ramberg finished with 6, Nic Cahoon added 5, Tyler Sulkowski chipped in with 2, and Austin Johnson closed the scoring with 1 point on the night.


The Agates had four players in double figures including Jake Iskat with 15 points in the Two Harbors loss. Jon MacDonnald, Alex Horoshack, and Caleb Swamp-Hill all ended with10 points, rounding out the Agate scoring was Kyle Omtvedt with 2 points.


The Cardinals improve to 5-8 overall on the season and they will be in action again on Monday night when they face the Eagles of East Central at Askov High School. Two Harbors falls to 1-10 on the season, they are in action Saturday night when they take on International Falls.
