After figuring in five of the Bulldogs nine goals last weekend, Ashleigh Brykaliuk has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week.

Brykaliuk had five points over the weekend and finished with a plus-six rating as the University of Minnesota Duluth swept Minnesota State University, Mankato in a WCHA series, running its winning streak to five games. The sophomore from Brandon, Manitoba, scored twice and had three assists while figuring in over half of UMD’s nine goals – five – in the series. After dishing the game-winning assist Saturday in the Bulldogs’ 3-0 win, Brykaliuk had two goals – including the power-play game-winner – and two assists in UMD’s 6-3 victory on Sunday.

The Bulldogs will have a weekend off from competition before heading to St. Cloud State University Nov. 14-15.
