Farley received the NCHC’s Offensive Player of the Week while Kaskisuo was cited as the league’s Rookie of the Week for their respective performances in last weekend’s home series with the University of Denver.

Farley, a junior left winger from Niles, Ill., totaled three points over the weekend while putting 19 shots on net and finishing a +1.  He collected UMD’s lone goal (on the power play) in a 3-1 loss to the No. 11 Pioneer Friday and then scored once (again with the man advantage) and added an assist the ensuing evening as the Bulldogs prevailed 6-1. Ten of his shots were on target —  the most by a Bulldog in a regulation game since Feb. 25, 2012 (J.T. Brown with 10 vs. Colorado College) — in that series finale victory.

Kaskisuo started both ends of the Denver series and finished with a .923 saves percentage and a 2.02 goals against average. During the two nights, he allowed just two even-strength goals, including one just 33 seconds after the opening puck drop on Friday. The Vantaa, Finland, native made 29 saves on Saturday en route to posting his first collegiate home victory. Kaskisuo has now made three straights starts and is an even 2-2-0 on the year.
