The Cromwell Cardinals were in great position to capture the 2010 Pillager Holiday Tournament as they led most of the contest against Eagle Valley. The Rebels responded late in the game and tie the game at the end of regulation. Eagle Valley then took control in the overtime stanza and went on to win by a final score of 63-58.

The Cardinals playing for the championship advanced to the championship game on Monday as they came from behind and defeated Pillager 67-51. Pat Dahl and Jordan Suhonen each scored 19 points in the win Monday night.

The loss to the Eagles saw the Cardinals fall to 3-4 on the season overall. This was the second straight year the Cardinals finished second in the Pillager Holiday tournament, just a year ago the Cardinals fell to Isle in the Championship game.

The Cardinals were led by Jordan Suhonen and Jake Ramberg who each finished with 15 points in the loss Tuesday night. Pat Dahl had another great game again as he finished with 12 points including 3 three-pointers for the Cards. Tyler Sulkowski and Jared Hutar each finished with 6 points in the loss.

The Cardinals will be in action again on Tuesday at home when they will host Hill City at home. That will be followed by a huge Polar League match-up when they host Floodwood on Friday January 7th.
