Football’s Xavier Rhodes (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul HS) and men’s soccer’s Kyle Farrar (Sevenoaks, England/Kelsey Park Sports College) have been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Players of the Week in their respective sports; it was announced on Tuesday.

Rhodes was named the UMAC Football Defensive Player of the Week. In Saturday’s come-from-behind victory at Westminster College (Mo.), Rhodes tied for a team-high with 11 tackles, recorded an interception and forced a fumble. He also had a pass breakup in the end zone on a fourth down play with the Saints up a score. On the next possession he intercepted a Westminster pass in the end zone.

Farrar was named the UMAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. In a pair of wins over the weekend, Farrar recorded four goals and four assists. He scored two goals in both wins over Bethany Lutheran College and Crown College. He added three assists in Friday’s win over the Vikings.
