Grandma’s Record Falls

Dominic Orondo broke the 33year old record held by Dick Beardsley Saturday in the 37th annual Grandma’s Marathon.

Beardsley who set the record in 1981 with a time of 2 hours 9 minutes and 31 seconds saw his time beaten by 31 seconds in ideal running conditions with the cool temps.

Orondo won 10,000 for his first place finish and earned another 5,000 for finishing under 2 hou7rs 10 minutes and also either a 2014 Toyota or 16,000 for breaking the course record.
