SAGINAW- Playing the last season as a team known as the AlBrook Falcons, add in this season the combining of Cotton to the football program and it makes for changes as both schools will become one in the new school built in south St. Louis County.

Friday night it was the Falcons hosting long time rival Cherry at Albrook High School. Cherry coming off an undefeated regular season last year, is again one of the section favorites this year. The Tigers outscored the Falcons and won by a final score of 41-0.

Cherry got on the scoreboard first when Spencer Salo scored on a 5 yard touchdown run the extra point was good by Adam Maray and Cherry led 7-0. Mark Anderson scored his first of two touchdowns in the second quarter and with the extra point it would be a 14-0 half time lead.

The third quarter saw the Tiger add to their lead as Braden Roberts and Anderson both scored rushing touchdowns and with one two point conversion it was a 31-0 lead at the end of three quarters. Roberts and Maray added rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter and one out of two extra points and the game ended 41-0.

The win moves Cherry to 3-1 overall and into second place in their conference standings. The Falcons fall to 0-3 and they will face the Little Gophers of Cook at Cook High School on Tuesday night in a rare Tuesday game. The Falcons will also be in action next Friday when they host Silver Bay.
