Duluth East Blasts By Superior

Duluth East got their first home game in of the season, taking on the Superior Spartans. The Greyhounds would blast past the Spartans, winning 12-1.

Trevor Laakso would get the win for the Greyhounds, pitching 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, walking 5 and striking out 6. Nathan Benson led the offensive way for the Greyhounds, going 4 for 4 which included a double and a triple. Wes Anderson and Chris Olson both went 2 for 4 with a double, and Nate Shuman went 2 for 2 with a double in the in.

Logan Griffith took the loss for the Spartans, throwing 4 innings allowing 5 runs on 4 hits, striking out 3 and walking 2.

The Greyhound improve to 2-1 on the season and look to take on the Cloquet Lumberjacks (0-1) in Cloquet on April 28th.
