ML-WR 75 – Mesabi East 0

The Moose Lake-willow River Rebels opened the 2010 season with a dominating performance at home with the huge shutout win. The Rebels rushed for 420 total yards.

Little Fork Big Falls 46 – AlBrook-Cotton 8

Aaron McGuire scored six touchdowns as the Vikings led at half 34-0 and cruised to the huge win Friday Night at AlBrook High School.

Pine City 14 – Proctor 0

The host Dragons opened up the 2010 season with a fourteen point shutout win over the Proctor Rails in the first time meeting of sectional opponents.

International Falls 20 – Cloquet 19

The Cloquet Lumberjacks led by as many as thirteen, but the Broncos fought back and scored with just 30 seconds remaining to pull out the win at home Friday.

Duluth Central 21 – Hermantown 0

Duluth Central/Denfeld broke open a scoreless first half and put 21 points on the board in the second half to start their combined year at 1-0.

Esko 30 Cook County 6

Max Reinertson scored four touchdowns on the night as the Eskomos rolled at home to the 24 point win. Reinertson finished with 211 yards rushing.

Barnum 39 – Rush City 0

The Bombers jumped out to an early lead and rolled to the win at home. The Tigers were sectional runners-up last season, falling to MLWR in the Championship game.

Nevis 27 – Cromwell 26

The Tigers avenged a huge loss last season to the Cardinals, with a one point win Friday night in overtime at Cromwell High School.

Hinckley-Finlayson 18 – Carlton 14

The Jaguars took advantage of thirteen Bulldogs penalties to win this matchup on the road. The Jaguars has 237 yards rushing on the night. Chaise Jokinen led the Bulldogs with 125 total yards.
