Thunder Fall To Central Lakes 21-6

The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College men’s football team opened play for the 2010 season in near-perfect conditions on Saturday in a 21-6 loss to Central Lakes Community College of Brainerd. Playing at a neutral site in St. Cloud the Thunder fell behind at halftime 14-0 and were unable to make up the difference in the second half.

FDLTCC looked like they may take an early lead in the game by driving inside the Central Lakes 20-yard line, but a penalty and a dropped pass that would have resulted in a touchdown stymied their drive.

In all, the Thunder had 3 potential touchdown catches dropped with the lone score coming from former AlBrook athlete Cody Anderson on a touchdown run in the second half.

The Thunder will play at home on Saturday afternoon at 4pm at Bromberg Field in Cloquet.
