Bombers stop Rebels

The Barnum Bombers stopped the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels Tuesday night in a Polar League Conference match-up by a score of 87-78.

Brandon Newman scored 25 points and Zac Carlson recorded 24 points as the Barnum boys basketball team snatched an 87-78 win over neighborhood rival Moose Lake-Willow River on Tuesday night.

The Bombers slipped out to a 41-36 lead and then outscored the Rebels by four points in the second half.

Not only did Newman and Carlson have impressive games for Barnum, but Mitchell Weller also had a big night with 19 points, while Andrew Naslund finished with nine, Tory Slater added six and it was two points each for Nathan Jelinek and Dakotah Haley.

Brad Fossum had a strong game with 21 points for the Rebels, Matt Mach chipped in with 14, it was 13 each for Ike Peterson and Charlie Adamczak, Ezra Szczyrbak had 12 points and Trenton Autio dumped in five points.
