Carlton Hosts Coaches vs. Cancer Game

The Carlton Bulldogs hosted the Cromwell Cardinals on Friday night in the Coaches vs. Cancer game. The Bulldogs would win their 4th consecutive game, edging out the Cardinals 67-61.

The Bulldogs led the Cardinals at the half, 28-23 and would never look back, as they would use a 39-38 second half to hold onto the six point victory.

Tyler Ojibway led the way for the Bulldogs with 17 points. Matt Hey and Waylon Lekander each helped the cause with 13 points a piece, while Sam Macor chipped in 12 points in the win. Also scoring for the Bulldogs was Eric Soderstrom and Keijo Day with 5 each and Jackson Mickle with 2 points.

In the loss for the Cardinals, Marcus Pocernich had a game high 19 points. Micah Pocernich and Cameron Cahoon scored 11 point and 10 points respectively. Also scoring was Zion Smith adding 8 points, Alek Striowski scoring 6 points, Ryan Juntenen with 5 points, and Sam Kemper topping it off with 2.

With the victory, the Bulldogs improve to 16-4 on the year and will be back in action on January 10th when they host the Silver Bay Mariners (10-6). The Cardinals drop to 9-8 on the year and will look to bounce back against the Cherry Tigers (1-15) on February 7th.
