Bulldogs Edge Wrens

The Carlton Bulldogs and the Wrenshall Wrens were both searching for their 2nd wins on the season Tuesday night, but it would be the Bulldogs who came out on top once again, with the 44-41 victory.

The Wrenshall Wrens lead 23-19 at the half, but the Bulldogs battled back and outscored the Wrens 25-18 in the second half to propel them to the 44-41 victory.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs in the victory was Ashley Anderson who scored 14 points. Taylor Klassen added 10 points in the win, Karly Voge added 8, Nikki Ojibway notched 6, Amanda Groth scored 4, and Miranda Papesh topped it off with 2.

The Wrens were lead by Shana Laveau who scored 13 points. Kaitlyn Kelley scored 9, Delaney Kittel added 8, Brianna Brim scored 6, Cassie Wimmer and Jenna Keller each had 2, and Brittany O’Brien topped the scoring off with 1.

The Bulldogs improve to 2-9 on the season and will look for another win when they play the Cromwell Cardinals (7-5) at home on January 23rd. The Wrens fall to 1-13 on the season and will host the McGregor Mercuries (11-3) on January 23rd.
