Kittel Scores 42 In Wrenshall Victory

The Wrenshall Wrens got back on the winning track Wednesday night after dropping four consecutive games. The Wrens beat the Northeast Range Nighthawks handily, 84-47.

The Wrens got out to a large lead at halftime leading 53-22. The Wrens would continue to dominate the game as they would outscore the Nighthawks in the second half 31-25 on their way to snapping their losing streak by winning 84-47.

Leading the Wrens to the victory was Jared Kittel who put up an impressive 42 points in the victory. Jessie Ellerbe scored 8 in the win, Andrew Frank pitched in 7, Aaron Adkins and Marcus Virginia each scored 6 points, Luke Vine added 5, Trent Olson and Dustin Shelton tallied 4, and Hunter Pauly rounded out the win with 2 points.

In the loss for the Nighthawks, Kyle Durbin scored 13 points, Dylan Scherer added 10, Brody Skala notched 8 points, Alex Scholl added 6, Carl Vraa and Jimi Obanor each had 4, and Travis Loewen topped it off with 2.

The Wrens improve to 7-5 on the season and will match up with the Two Harbors Agates (6-5) on January 17th in Two Harbors. The Northeast Range Nighthawks fall to 1-10 on the season.
