Floodwood tops Wrenshall

The Floodwood Polar Bears started 2014 where they left 2013, on the winning side. They hosted the Wrenshall Wrens on Thursday night and came out on top with the 57-12 victory.

The halftime score would be 43-8 in favor of the Floodwood Polar Bear. They would go on to outscore the Wrens 14-4 in the second half en route to their 3rd straight win, 57-12.

Leading the way for the Polar Bears in the win was Megan Aho who lead all scorers with 22 points. Stacey Larva hit double digits as well in the win, adding 13 points. Sydney Lough scored 8 points, Marissa Johnson, Honna Hendrickson, and Mary Rohde added 3 points each, Alyssa White and Emily Hall scored 2, and Bailey Tahja topped it off with 1 point.

In the loss for the Wrens, Arianna Rim, Kaitlyn Kelley, and Gracie Bergman each scored 4 points.

The Floodwood Polar Bears improve to 6-2 with the win and will travel to Bigfork to take on the Bigfork Huskies (1-8) on January 4th. The Wrenshall Wrens fall to 0-7 on the season and will look for their first win when they go on the road to take on the North Woods Grizzlies (9-1) on January 7th.
