Broman Leads LCA To First Win

The Lakeview Christian Academy Lions have played some tough competition early in the season and lost a heart breaker to Proctor at the buzzer, but that’s all behind them after notching a big win over the Carlton Bulldogs, 80-54.

The LCA Lions would be in a tightly contested match-up throughout the first half before grabbing the 10 point lead, 31-21. Lakeview would continue where they left off from at halftime, outscoring the Bulldogs 49-32 throughout the second half en route to grabbing their first victory of the season, 80-54.

In the big win for the Lions, a familiar name would lead the way as Bjorn Broman would post a impressive 47 points. Also helping the Lions would be Josh Klun and Alec Johnson each tagged on 6, Sam Easty added 5, Mark Chiu, Ben Erickson, and Jack Norman would all pitch in 4 points Josh Emerson added 2, and Blayne Nebel rounded it out with 1.

In the loss for the Bulldogs, Adam Ermatinger would score 21 points. Dominic Bennett added 13 points, Nick Lee had 6 points, Cade Pierson, Efren Morales-Cruz, Eric Soderstrom, and Ryan Adams would each score 3 points respectively, and Matt Hey rounded it out with 2 points.

With the victory, LCA improves to 1-5 on the year and will take on the Wrenshall Wrens (6-2) next at UWS on December 19th. The Carlton Bulldogs remain winless on the season at 0-5 and will be back in action when they travel to the St. Johns Prep Tournament on December 19th where they will play the St. John’s Prep Johnnies (2-4) at 7:30 PM.
