Thunder Extend Winning Streak To 5 Games

Two wins for the Thunder today extended the teams winning streak to five games and upped their overall record to 16-6 for the season.

The Thunder had to rally from behind in both games against league-leading Central Lakes College, including scratching out the win during the bottom of the seventh inning in the first game topping Central Lakes 7-6.

In the second game, the Thunder trailed 10-3 going into the bottom of the fourth inning but gradually worked their way back into the game, trailing 10-7 after four innings and 10-9 after the fifth inning. The Thunder exploded into the lead with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 15-10 lead before closing out Central Lakes in the final inning.

The Thunder is scheduled to travel to Thief River Falls to take on Northland Community and Technical College in a doubleheader on Sunday, April 19.
