Barnum Girls Get 12-2 Win Over Cromwell

The Barnum Bombers improved their regular season record to 2-0 on Tuesday with a 12-2 victory over the Cromwell Cardinals. This girls softball game was played in Barnum as the field in Cromwell was not ready to see action as of yet.

Barnum used another balanced scoring attack on Tuesday as the Bombers knocked out twelve hits in the ten-run victory. Barnum scored three runs in the first inning six in the second, two in the third, and rounded out the scoring with one in the fourth inning.

Katie Myhre picked up her second win of the season for the Bombers; she struck out three Cardinals while allowing only two hits. Lacie Laine was the losing pitcher for the Cromwell Cardinals.

Jessica Newman went 2-2, she scored three runs, and also had two runs batted in. Katrina Newman was 3 for 3, scored three runs and had three runs batted in. Jenna Shanda & Brianna Mattson both finished 2-2 and both scored two runs for the Bombers. Claire Rodgers went 1-1 with two runs scored and three runs batted in.

Barnum improves to 2-0 on the season while Cromwell falls to 0-1; Barnum faces Carlton on Thursday at home while Cromwell travels to Willow River to take on the ML-WR Rebels.
