Barnum Boys Golf Picks Up Two Victories

The Barnum Bomber boy’s golf team picked up two victories this week as the Bombers shot down Hinckley-Finlayson on Monday at 29 Pines golf course in Mahtowa; and on Friday the Bombers defeated East Central to win their fourth straight dual meet on the season.


On Monday it was the Bombers taking down Hinckley-Finlayson by a score of 174-184 at 29 Pines Golf Course. The medalist Monday was Ben Grimm of Hinckley-Finlayson who shot a 39, second place was John Zmyslony who shot a 41, Nate Gunnarson was third with a 42, Mike Klejeski was fourth with a 45.


Barnum continued with Greyson Lekander and Dacotah Haley each coming in with a 46 Monday as the Bombers took home second through fifth places. The Jaguars Casey Wimmer finished with a 47, Troy Cowart had a 48, and Issac Engelstad finished with a 50 on the day.


Friday it saw the Bombers continuing to play well as they won their fourth straight meet as they finished with a team score of 187 to the Eagles who shot a team score of 195, again this meet was again held at 29 Pines Golf Course.


Ben Swanson of East Central was the medalist as he shot a 38 Friday, John Zmyslony had his second straight second place finish as he closed with a 46. Greyson Lekander, Dacotah Haley, and Blake Bonneville all finished tied for third place as they all shot 47’s.


The Eagles Curtis Mullholland finished with a 50 on Friday afternoon, his teammate Devin Tacheny added a 52, and it was Dillon Koski who finished out the top four scores for East Central as he ended shooting a 55.
