For the 8th time in school history the Lumberjacks girls soccer team are heading back to the state girls for the 8th time and first since 2012 as the Lumberjacks defeated Chisago Lakes in double over time Thursday night in North Branch.

Olivia Jameson scored the winning goal on a late rush in double over time and beat net minder Dylan Grave and gave the Lumberjacks the 3-2 victory.

Kayie Turner tied the contest midway through the second half at 1-1 and following a Estephanni Hansen goal which gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead with 1:26 remaining it was Madi Vemeersch tying the game on a penalty kick at 2-2.

Cloquet- Carlton will face Holy Angels at 7:30 pm in Lindstrom in the state Class A quarterfinals.
