Bulldogs Blank Mariners

The Carlton Bulldogs played the Silver Bay Mariners on Thursday night in a key Polar League match-up. The game saw the Bulldogs get out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning, en route to a 6-0 victory.

Ryan Gray was stellar on the mound for the Bulldogs, pitching a complete game shutout. Gray allowed just three hits, while striking out 8 batters in the win.

At the plate, Gray helped his cause, going 2-4 with an RBI, while teammate Kaden Crane went 3-4 with a home run. Dan Eggert chipped in the a 2-3 performance at the plate.

Riley Tiboni got the loss for the Mariners, pitching 5 innings, allowing six runs on seven hits while striking out four. Lucas Stadler went 2-3 for the Mariners.

The Bulldogs improve to 3-3 on the season and will be back in action when they welcome the Cherry Tigers to town on May 3rd. The Mariners drop to 3-4 on the year and will look to bounce back on May 6th when they face the Ely Timberwolves.
