Cromwell Moves To Section 5A Championship

The Cromwell Cardinals are moving on to the Section 5A championship for the second year in a row after topping Nevis, 69-51.

The Cardinals held a 30-22 advantage at the half and continued their run, outscoring Nevis 39-29 in the second half to secure the win.

The Cardinals used a balanced scoring attack in the win, led by Marcus Pocernich who had 17 points. Isaac Shelton followed with 15, while Micah Pocernich and Jaden Gronner scored 14 points and 10 points respectively. Rounding out the scoring was Gage Jones with 7 points and Cameron Cahoon with 6.

Michael Landquist led Nevis in scoring with 14 points.

The Cardinals improve to 24-3 with the win and will face the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars (17-12) on March 15th. The location and time are still TBD.
