Proctor Falls In State Quarterfinals

The Proctor Rails faced off the the fourth seeded Caledonia Warriors on Wednesday evening, falling 56-44 in the Class AA Quarterfinals at Williams Arena.

The Rails trailed 31-22 heading into the half, but continued to battle with the Warriors in the second half, but Caledonia held on to advance in the state tournament.

Payton Rodberg and Morgan Nylund paced the Rails with 11 points each. Sam Parendo followed with 10 points, while Sam Pogatchnik added 6 points, Liz Frase scored 4 points, and Katelyn Marunich chipped in 2 points.

Caledonia’s Katie Tornstrom led all scorers with 25 points, which Ashley Schroeder and Heidi Bolduan scored 13 and 10 points respectively.

The Rails fall to 24-7 with the loss and will face Redwood Valley (19-9) in consolation semifinals on March 14th. Tipoff will be at 6:00pm.
