CEC Escapes With Win

The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks faced off with Hibbing-Chisholm on Tuesday night, skating away with a 1-0 overtime victory.

Dea DeLeon scored at the 5:49 mark in the overtime period to put the Lumberjacks up 1-0. Taylor Nelson assisted on the goal.

Elise Lund pitched a shutout for the Lumberjacks, blocking 23 shots on the night. Abby Edstrom notched 24 saves for Hibbing-Chisholm in the loss.

CEC improves to 14-5 on the year with the win. They will play again on January 17th against International Falls. Hibbing-Chisholm falls to 8-12 with the loss.
