Cloquets Wojtysiak Scores 1000th Career Point In Loss

The Hermantown Hawks and Cloquet Lumberjacks faced off on Thursday night, which the Hawks victorious, 74-48. Cloquet’s Allie Wojtysiak scored 21 points to tally her 1000th career point in the loss.

The Hawks led 40-21 at the half and continued their dominance in the second half, outscoring the Jack 34-27.

Ava Asgaard led the way for the Hawks with 25 points, followed by Elly Schmitz with 21 points. Also scoring was Brita Birkeland with 7 points, Mogran Schroeder and Megan Menzel with 6 points each, Maiah Christianson with 4 points, Ashley Hill with 3 points, and Kora Parkinson with 2 points.

In addition to Wojtysiak’s 21 points, Mireye Moose and Vanna Kelley each scored 6 points in the loss. Also scoring was Olivia Diver with 5 points, Katie Owens with 4, and Kendra Kelley and Maddie Young each scoring 3 points.

With the win, the Hawks move to 5-8 on the season and will play Zimmerman on January 12th. The Lumberjack drop to 8-5 on the season and will look to rebound on January 15th against Hibbing.
