Bulldogs Cruise To State

The Carlton Bulldogs have been nothing short of dominant this season, continuing that dominance throughout the Section 7A playoffs. The Bulldogs went a perfect 12-0, which included a 3-0 sweep in the Section Finals over the Deer River Warriors.

The Bulldogs cruised past the Warriors by scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-9 in the Section Finals to return to the State tournament for the fifth time in school history.

In the finals, Taylor Nelson notched a team high 12 kills, while Alaina Bennett and Abby Mickle each chipped in 8 kills, helping the Bulldogs secure the victory.

The Bulldogs, who are 28-2 and on a 22 game winning streak, received the fifth seed in the State tournament. They will play the fourth seeded Ada-Borup Cougars, who are 30-1 on the season. The game is being played on November 8th at 1:oopm at the Xcel Energy Center.
