Duluth Denfeld Wins With Ease

The Duluth Denfeld Hunters scampered past the Hibbing Bluejackets on Tuesday night, winning 39-8 to advance in the Section 7AAAA playoffs.

The Hunters kicked the game off with a 24 yard touchdown run from Montrell McMillan. They followed it up with a 69 yard pass from Kade Shea to Wyrott Gerson and a 39 yard run from Dominic Klaas to make it 24-0 at the half.

Denfeld came out of the half right where they left off, with Klaas finding his way in from 12 yards out, pushing the Hunters lead to 30-0. The Hunters then recorded a safety and an eight yard touchdown run by Bryce Rainey to make it 39-0.

Hayden Westerberg recovered a fumble and returned it 80 yards for the Bluejackets only score of the game.

With the win, the Hunters improve to 6-3 on the season. They will face the two time defending Section 7AAAA champions, the Cloquet Lumberjacks (7-1) on October 27th in Cloquet. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00pm.
