The last time the Carlton Bulldogs won a playoff game, they were still playing 11-man football when they topped Onamia 14-0. Twelve years later and the Bulldogs finally notched another playoff win, this time playing 9-man.

The Bulldogs moved to 6-3 on the season Tuesday night, topping the Hill City/Northland Storm, 28-14.

The Bulldogs led 21-6 at halftime, led by Matt Santkuyl and Ryan Gray. Gray connected with Santkuyl on a 37 yard pass and 19 yard pass in the first half. Gray also found Aaron Schilla from 6 yards out to make it 21-6 going into the half.

The Storm got it back within a one score game in the fourth quarter, making it 21-14. The Bulldogs responded with a 31 yard run from Santkuyl, however, to secure the Bulldogs first playoff win in over a decade.

The third seeded Bulldogs (6-3) will now face the second seeded Cromwell Cardinals (9-0) on October 27th in Cromwell. Kickoff will be at 7:00pm. The Storm finished their season with a 3-6 record.
