Cloquet Girls Advance to Section Semi-Finals

The Cloquet girls soccer team broke a 1-1 halftime tie with two second half goals Saturday to defeat the Duluth Denfeld Hunters 3-1 in the girls section 7a Quarterfinals to advance to the section semi finals Tuesday night.

Kendra Kelley scored twice and Katie Turner added the other Lumberjack goal as the Lumberjacks improve to 17-1 on the season and they also won their 13th straight contest.

Kiana Bender added two assists on the day and Gracie Meagher made nine saves in the victory.

Cloquet win now face Duluth Marshall in the semi finals while the other semi final will feature Hermantown facing Chisago Lakes. The section finals will be held on Thursday night.
