Bulldogs Snap Losing Streak

The Carlton Bulldogs ended their three game losing streak on Tuesday night, topping the Silver Bay Mariners 7-4.

Kris Herman got the victory on the mound for the Bulldogs, pitching 5.1 innings. Herman allowed four runs in the first inning and followed that up with 4.1 innings of shutout baseball. He struck out six batters and allowed just three hits. Peyton Schmidt recorded the save for Carlton, pitching 1.2 innings.

Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Kaden Crane, who went 2×5 with a home run and three runs batted in. Chase Parker and Kaleb Siiter both went 2×4 in the win, while Jackson Mickle went 1×3 with a home run and two runs batted in.

Riley Tiboni got the loss for the Mariners, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits. Offensively, Ero Wallin went 1×4 with two runs batted in.

With the win, the Bulldogs move to 5-7 on the year. They will be back in action on May 17th against the Barnum Bombers and May 18th against the Wrenshall Wrens. The Mariners drop to 5-8 on the year with the loss.
