Rails Derailed by Pierz

The Proctor Rails hoping to make a run towards US Bank Stadium came up short Saturday at the Rails ran into a defense which was as good as their own Saturday in Brainerd. Pierz who entered the game allowing only 6 points per game played with a mission to make it back to the state semi finals and they did just that shutting down the Rails on their way to a 42-13 victory.

Reese Kapsner scored three times while his teammate Jalen Jansen added two more rushing touchdowns Saturday afternoon. The Rails who sported a defense as good as anyone could not stop the high powered Pierz rushing attack.

Trailing 20-0 in the 2nd quarter John Pioro hit Cody Hampton on a 9 yard touchdown pass to make it 20-7 at the break. Pierz scored the first three second half touchdowns before the Rails would add a late touchdown on a Pioro 37 yard scamper.
