Cromwell, Wrenshall In Section Finals

The Cromwell Cardinals, who are undefeated this season, are looking to make their second consecutive state tournament appearance on Friday night. To get there, the Cardinals will have to upend the Wrenshall Wrens, who are 8-2.

The Cardinals reached the Section Finals on Saturday evening, topping the South Ridge Panthers 34-22. The Cardinals were led by Drew Libbon who ran for two touchdowns and three a 30 yard touchdown pass to Nic Johnson to secure the Cardinals spot in the Section Finals.

The Wrens reached the finals after dominating the Floodwood Polar Bears, 54-12. Tyler Kelley paced the offense for Wrenshall, scampering for 199 yards on 25 carries, while scoring five touchdowns.

The Cardinals defeated the Wrens earlier in the season by a score of 39-8.

The Cardinals and Wrens will play on Friday, November 3rd. They will play in Esko with a kickoff of 7:30pm.
