Cromwell Dominates In Opening Round

The favorite in the Section 5 9-man playoffs is the Cromwell Cardinals and they showed why on Tuesday, opening up the playoffs with a 58-16 victory over the Hill City Hornets

The Cardinals led 36-0 at the half, led by Nic Johnson who tallied two touchdown runs from lengths of 65 yards and 16 yards.

In the 3rd quarter, the Cardinals tallied 22 more points, making it a 58-0 score going into the 4th quarter. Hill City would get on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter, scoring two touchdowns to make it a 58-16 final.

The Cardinals remain a perfect 9-0 on the year and will be back in action on October 28th when they play the South Ridge Panthers with a kickoff of 7:00 PM. The Hornets finished their season with a 3-6 record.
