The Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks entered the night with a perfect 12-0-1 record, but their rivals, the Duluth East Greyhounds had something to say about that, snapping the Lumberjacks winning streak with a 3-1 victory.

Will Francis, Nolan Friday, and Jackson Manthey paced the Greyhounds offense with three goals. Goaltender Matt Campbell also stopped four shots in the win for Duluth East.

Duluth East improved to 13-1 with the win and will look to keep their winning streak alive on October 4th against the Hermantown Hawks. CEC (12-1-1) will look to bounce back on October 5th against the Proctor Rails.
