Duluth East Upends Proctor

This past Friday, the Duluth East Greyhounds and Proctor Rails hit the gridiron, with the Greyhounds prevailing, 19-6.

Duluth East went into the half with a 7-0 lead after a 1 yard plunge from Luke Hietala in the second quarter. The Greyhounds would score 12 points in the third quarter on a 17 yard run from Tommy Kimball and on a three yard pass from Josh Daniels-Hanbury to Justin Cone, to pad the Greyhounds lead to 19-0.

The Rails would also score in the third quarter on a three yard run from Jerid Parrott, making it a 19-6 final.

The Greyhounds took advantage of five turnovers by the Rails, to secure their first win of the season.

Duluth East is 1-1 on the season and will be back in action on September 15th when they travel to play North Branch. The Proctor Rails, who were ranked 10th in Class AAA last week, are now 1-1 on the year and will look to bounce back against Grand Rapids on September 15th.
