Bulldogs Run Past Rebels

The Carlton Bulldogs played host to the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs would come away with an 11-1 victory in 5 innings.

The Bulldogs scored in every inning of the game and tallied 15 hits in the win. They were led by Evan Gray, both at the plate and on the mound. At the plate, Gray went 4-4 with two doubles, two RBI’s, four runs scored, and four stolen bases. On the mound, Gray held the Rebels to just one hit and one unearned run, while striking out seven batters through 5 innings.

Also for the Bulldogs was Tyler Ojibway, who went 3-4 with a double and one RBI, Sam Macor, who went 2-2 with a sacrifice fly and four RBI’s, and Jackson Mickle went 2-2 with an RBI, two runs scored, and three stolen bases.

The Bulldogs, who are now 3-2 on the season after an 11-0 loss to North Woods on Saturday, will be back in action when they host Polar League foe, the McGregor Mercs on Tuesday, April 25th. The MLWR Rebels dropped to 2-4 on the season with the loss. They will be back in action on April 25th when they travel to play the Two Harbors Agates.
