Carlton’s Hey Records Triple-Double In Win

Matt Hey propelled the Bulldogs to a 96-73 victory on Monday night over Hill City, recording 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists for his first career triple-double.

The Bulldogs outscored the Hornets 42-33 at halftime and continued the dominance in the second half with a 54-40 advantage to secure the victory.

The Bulldogs used a balanced scoring attack in the victory with Tyler Ojibway tallying 22 points, Waylon Lekander adding 19 points, Sam Macor scoring 18, and Matt Hey scoring 16 points. Also scoring in the win was Ben Soderstrom with 8 points, Jackson Mickle with 6, Eric Soderstrom chipping in 5, and Keijo Day rounding it out with 2.

The Hornets were led by Johnathan Gowell with 18 points, followed by Kix Martin with 17 and Brendon Gould with 12. Also scoring was Brady Wagner with 9, Lane Gerber with 7, and Travis Berg and Christian Haugen each with 2.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 19-4 on the season and will look to continue their winning streak when they travel to play the Silver Bay Mariners on February 21st. The Hornets fall to 6-16 on the year.
