Hermantown and Duluth Denfeld high school hockey players held a large American flag during the playing of the National Anthem before their Perkins Frenzy game Thursday night at Essentia Duluth Heritage Center.

The Hawks, behind two-goal efforts by seniors Ryan Sandelin and Jesse Jacques, won the Lake Superior Conference game, 5-1.
