Aided by a career-high 25 points from sophomore guard Sammy Kozlowski, the University of Minnesota Duluth used the three-ball and its bench to power through Upper Iowa University in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference bout.

The Bulldogs (10-6; 8-5 NSIC)  shot a season-high 70.6 percent from beyond the arc on 12-for-17 shooting against the Peacocks (3-13; 2-10 NSIC). UMD is now 4-2 following a loss on the season.

Kozlowski continued her offensive barage Saturday afternoon in Romano Gymnasium shooting 10-for-17, included going 5-for-6 from three-point range. Just one day after capturing a season-high 11 points against No. 20 Winona State, sophomore guard Emma Boehm garnered 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting; adding four boards and three assists off the bench.

With a slight 17-16 lead after the first quarter, the Bulldogs pulled away to take a 12-point lead heading into the half. Kozlowski accounted for 14-of-25 points scored by UMD in the second quarter. Collectively, the Bulldogs finished a perfect 5-for-5 at the free-throw line.

UMD will have a tough task as they take on No. 18 Minnesota State University Moorhead (14-1; 11-0 NSIC) on Friday (Jan. 20). The Dragons one loss came in their very first game of the season against the Harding University Lady Bison.
