Carlton Takes Down North Branch

The Carlton Bulldogs welcomed the Section 7AAA North Branch Vikings to town on Tuesday night, coming away with a narrow 50-47 victory.

The Bulldogs held a 28-16 lead at halftime. The Vikings would put together a strong second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 31-22, but it wouldn’t be enough as Carlton would hold onto the narrow three point victory.

Tyler Ojibway led the Bulldogs with 15 points, followed by Sam Macor who had 11 points and Eric Soderstrom who chipped in 10 points. Also scoring in the win was Waylon Lekander with 7 point, Matthew Hey with 5 points, and Keijo Day with 2 points.

In the loss for the Vikings, Brandon Tollberg had a game high 16 points. Also scoring was Jonah Marcussen with 9 points, Brady Brodin and Dawson Linkert each with 7 points Dylan Ramberg added 6 points, and Zach Gazda topped it off with 2 points.

The Bulldogs improve to 9-1 on the season with the win and will be back in action on January 6th when they host their cross-town rivals, the Wrenshall Wrens, for the Little Brown Jug. The North Branch Vikings fall to 3-4 on the year.
