Mirage Pick up Two Wins

The Proctor-Hermantown Mirage picked up two wins this weekend as the Mirage bounced back from a opening season loss to New Prague a week ago.

The Mirage defeated St. Paul United in a come from behind 3-2 win at Drake Arena. The Mirage trailed 2-0 midway through the third when a 5-minute major high sticking penalty gave the Mirage a five minute power play, and the Mirage took full advantage.

Karie Lenard scored on the power play to cut the lead to one goal, and a minute and a half later Abby Halverson tied the contest at 2-2. Mikayla Kero notched the game winner 3:33 remaining and Ryan Gray finished with 26 saves to pick up the win.

Saturday saw the Mirage take on another state power in Hopkins/Park at Minnetonka Ice Arena and the Mirage picked up a 4-2 win and improved to 2-1 on the season.

Proctor-Hermantown used three different goal scorers in the victory, as , Brionna Stafne, scored twice for the Mirage and Talynn Miller, and Olyvia Opsahl also scored for the Mirage.
