Cromwell Rolls Past South Ridge On Way To State

The Cromwell Cardinals had no troubles with the South Ridge Panthers, securing the win 54-0, the teams sixth shutout of the season.

After scoring 34 unanswered first-half points, the Cardinals would coast to a victory in the second half, scoring another 20 unanswered points.

Running backs Dillon Hoff and Cameron Cahoon almost combined for 200 rushing yards, as Hoff racked up 126, and Cahoon 71.

The entire Cromwell offense amassed 524 total yards, while the defense played their part as well, holding the Panthers to just 188 total yards.

Cardinal quarterback Zion Smith also had a nice night, throwing for 107 yards and three touchdowns.  Smith also added 101 rushing yards.

Cromwell remains undefeated on the year, and will face off with Ely this Friday at Public Schools Stadium in the quarterfinal.
