Agates Fall to Titans

The G/N-K defense then sealed the victory when an interception stopped a desperate drive by the Agates to retake the lead. When the smoke cleared, the Titans had escaped with a 38-33 victory in play conducted at Dixon-Barle Field in Coleraine.

Two Harbors had retaken the lead 33-32 with 5:02 left in the game on a one-yard plunge by Chad Nordean. But senior Spencer Potter gave G/N-K great field position when he returned the ensuing kickoff back to the Agate 43 yard line. The Titans drove slowly down the field, only to face a fourth and nine situation at the Two Harbors 20 with 1:44 remaining in the contest.

That’s when Steel came up with his big touchdown catch to put his team in the lead for good and propel the Titans into the section championship game.
