Panthers Run Over Bulldogs

South Ridge ran over Carlton Friday night as Joe Janke rushed for 141 yards and a score in the 42-21 win.

The Bulldogs would own the first quarter of play, as their defense mustered a safety, and quarterback Jackson Mickle ran in a 2-yard score for the 8-0 lead.

In the second quarter, South Ridge came alive.  They scored 20 unanswered points thanks to two passing touchdowns from Nick Carlson, as well as a rushing score from Carlson.

South ridge would go on to score 16 unanswered point in the third quarter.  Janke ran in a 1-yard score, and Matt Clarke ran in a 2-yard touchdown.   (both scores with successful 2-point conversions)

Evan Wolfe kept the scoring streak going for the Panthers, rushing for a 27-yard touchdown.

Mickle got Carlton back on the board with his second score of the night on a 8-yard scamper.

Jacob Santkuyl also scored for Carlton, running it in from 9 yards out, bringing the score to a final 42-21.

The Dogs (0-5) will look ahead to next week as they travel to Cromwell to take on the Cardinals.  The Panthers (3-2) go to McGregor Friday as they try and add another win.
