Grand Rapids Shuts Out Proctor

The Proctor Rails took on the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks on Friday night, falling by a score of 29-0.

Tyler Baird got the Thunderhawks on the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter on a 6 yard run, making it 6-0. The Grand Rapids defense would come up big for the Thunderhawks with Gavin Kushel bringing back a fumble recovery to the end zone from 26 yards. The Thunderhawks would then get a safety, making it 16-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Baird got into the end zone again, this time on a 1 yard plunge, pushing it to 22-0. Grand Rapids would push their lead to 29-0 after Brady Holm ran 36 yards to the end zone to secure the victory.

The Proctor Rails fall to 2-1 on the season and will look to bounce back on September 23rd against Hibbing. The Thunderhawks improved to 2-1 with the win.
